and Public Victory
The confidence of the Christian rests in the finished triumph of Jesus Christ—not in human strength, present circumstances, or the apparent success of earthly powers.
In Colossians 2:13–15, Paul directs the Church to the completeness of Christ’s saving work. Our guilt has been forgiven, the record standing against us has been removed, and the rulers and authorities have been openly defeated through the cross.
